Mother Earth Mascot & Asset Design

A scalable illustration and expression system for a children’s chatbot

Role: Character Design, Illustration System, Vector Asset Production & Animation Prep

The goal of the project was to create a friendly, expressive Mother Earth character for an AI-powered educational chatbot aimed at children. The mascot needed to feel approachable, emotionally readable, and flexible enough to support a wide range of conversational interactions.

Worked from developer-provided stick figure pose guides to sketch, refine, and vectorize the Mother Earth mascot across a large-scale expression and animation asset pipeline.

I also created 30 unique mascot poses based on pre-defined gesture frameworks, translating simple stick figure direction into fully realized character illustrations. Each pose was prepared in three eye-state variations — open, half-closed, and closed — resulting in a 90-frame vector asset library optimized for animation and chatbot integration. Additional interchangeable mouth assets were developed to expand expressive flexibility during AI interactions.
